What We Do

MyHRdepartment has two primary service offerings.

  1. For an hourly consulting fee, MyHRdepartment will provide hands-on Human Resources support to you and your business. We meet with you to understand the business context for the problem or opportunity you want to address and then prepare a proposal scoping out possible approaches that will enable you to get the work done at a price you can afford. Some of the assignments/projects for which we have been successfully engaged include:
    • Developing the policies required to be compliant with the applicable provincial and federal employment legislation
    • Supporting business owners through the process of terminating a staff member’s employment as a result of performance issues or downsizing.
    • Providing career transition services to exiting employees
    • Building and implementing performance management programs
    • Developing compensation frameworks
    • Developing and implementing Pay Equity Plans
    • Recruiting and orienting new staff
    • Negotiating Collective Agreements on behalf of Management where employees are represented by a bargaining unit
    • Coaching owners/operators to improve their management skills


  2. For a reasonable quarterly or annual fee, MyHRdepartment provides unlimited telephone and e-mail access to our team of seasoned HR professionals who will provide you with the advice and guidance you need to deal with people management issues.

    Business Hours of Operation: 9:00 to 6:00 PM ET Monday to Friday

    Calls are answered by a live operator seven-days-a-week, every day of the year. Emergency calls that can’t wait will be put through to one of our staff … day or night.
